What to Expect

A 30-minute guided educational tour around our farm where an employee will call the herds to the fence to discuss a wealth of alpaca facts and information about the farm.

Each person will recieve a bucket of grain to feed the alpacas.

Tours must be pre-booked online prior to your visit.

The tour director will discuss:

  • The origin of camelids with a specific focus on alpacas
  • Alpaca temperament and behaviour
  • An introduction to alpaca nutrition
  • The shearing process (from fibre to fashion) and the 6-point Alpaca Fleece Grading System
  • Alpaca breeding and cria (baby alpaca) facts

$20 / person

Children 5 & under are FREE

*Proceeds from tours are donated to Quechua Benefit, a children's charity in Peru. For more information on the charity, visit www.quechuabenefit.org.

*Booked tours are not subject to pay the general admission fee.

Booking

TOURS MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE.

In order to book your tour, please complete your booking through the calendar.

If tours are completley booked, please e-mail us at info@kpfarm.com. You will be notified before 8:00 pm the evening before the tour if space has become available.

In order to re-book or cancel your tour, you must email info@kpfarm 48 hours before your reserved tour time.

Tour Policies

Please arrive 5 minutes early to check-in and wash your hands in our boutique.

If you arrive late for your tour, you will only be allowed to join for the remainder of the tour time.

Missed tours are NOT subject to refunds.

PRIVATE TOURS

Private tours are available to book Monday - Thursday. These tours have a capacity of 10 and are exclusive to your group, costing $250/30 minutes.
