Our farm owes so much to all of its fantastic staff & volunteers. They play a vital part in carrying out a huge array of tasks and making the farm wonderful. We’d like to thank each and every one of them for their hard work and commitment.
Thinking about becoming a volunteer?
Here at Kensington Prairie Farm, we are currently fully staffed for all of our day-to-day needs, but we can always make room for volunteers. Volunteers must be willing to volunteer a minimum of 2 hours per week over a 4-week period (please understand we require full training in order for volunteers and the animals to become comfortable working together); thus, this volunteer position is not suited for an individual searching for a single-time volunteer opportunity.
Our farm is not suited for individuals who do not have access to transportation, as the farm is not bus accessible.
We are a working farm. You must be willing to get dirty and/or muck-out stalls, when needed.
You must come prepared for the conditions of the day, for example: with water, sunscreen and a hat on hot, sunny days.

- Halter Training
